Vicki was excellent and professional. She was honest in bringing information to us and was a good communicator. We felt that she provided good coverage of our property to potential buyers. However, the sales process as it exists is seriously flawed. Our agent was not able to participate in the sale of the house. Agents from other companies and from different towns showed our home when they knew nothing about the home nor the Geneva community. We found out too late in the process that at least one buyer bid on our home and was not pre-qualified by their lending institution. This should have been cleared by their broker. This was bad enough, but the process that the banking community uses to appraise property should be investigated by the State of Illinois Attorney General. We received an appraisal from one lender and another appraisal from a second. These appraisals were $21,000 apart. Unfortunately, we were forced to accept the lower of the two appraisals or put our property back on the market. This was after we had already purchased property elsewhere. Your industry is seriously suspect from an ethical perspective and I urge you to take these practices up with your industry associations before the government does it for you.
